Parkrun's Ex-sponsors

Parkrun HQ seem to have lost a few sponsors in the time that I’ve been running, here are the ones I can recall.

Fitbit seem to have become a sponsor in early 2015

“Fitbit and parkrun have a shared mission to get more people moving across the UK, providing the motivation needed to help people improve their health and fitness. By bringing Fitbit’s market leading activity trackers and software expertise to parkrun’s active community of runners, Fitbit helps motivate and inspire parkrunners, by empowering them with information they need to reach their goals.”

This shared mission seems to have ended around the beginning of 2017.

Intersport became a sponsor in early 2016

“parkrun has been a key player in promoting running as an accessible participation sport to the expanding community of runners. The parkrun model of local volunteers delivering weekly runs to people of all ages and abilities in their local community fits perfectly with the Intersport philosophy of bringing sport top the people. Together we look forward to encouraging more people to get their running shoes on.”

By early 2018 they had given up encouraging people to get their running shoes on.

Until the end of 2016 Three provided a mobile internet dongle to each event in the UK.
